Rosacea

Rosacea is a common skin disease that frequently begins as a tendency to flush or blush easily on the nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin.  This redness becomes more visible and persistent as rosacea progresses.  Tiny blood vessels and small red bumps can develop resembling acne.  Sunlight, alcohol, spicy foods, hot drinks, caffeine, and extreme hot and cold temperatures can exacerbate the condition.

TREATMENT

To effectively manage rosacea, a combination of treatments can be tailored to the individual patient.  Medicated creams, lotions, foams, washes, gels and pads can be applied topically to the skin.  Faster results may be seen with oral antibiotics.
