BOTOX
BOTOX® is an FDA-approved treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines in adults. It is also used to soften the horizontal lines on the forehead. BOTOX® targets the underlying cause of dynamic wrinkles, which are wrinkles that occur only when you are animating. Over the years, through the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, and raising your eyebrows, lines will develop. When you inject BOTOX® into the muscles that cause these movements, you are temporarily reducing the muscle activity. You may begin to notice results in as little as 24 to 48 hours, but it may take up to 2 weeks to take full effect. BOTOX® results vary from patient to patient, but on average, the treatment lasts for three months. The Botox effects will begin to fade and facial features will gradually return to their former state. Maintenance treatments are necessary to keep the effect for long periods of time.
